A lot of discussion has been going around for quite some time now about “iPhone killers” and the such. i’ve decided to give my fully biased opinion on the matter. I am a huge fan of Google’s Android, I pre-ordered the G1 and now own a beautiful Droid Incredible. I follow lots of android blogs, and keep up with the latest mobile tech updates in general so i feel I’m fairly knowledgeable about this sort of thing. All that being said, I am also a huge fan of Apple… at least when it doesn’t have to do with the mobile platform. See my main problem with with Apple and their mobile phones is the fact that I feel that in this day and age you should be able to do whatever you can do on your computer, on a phone… you should be able to install whatever application you want, whatever theme you want by whatever developer you choose. If someone were to try and sell you a computer that could only run applications they deemed suitable for your use… you wouldn’t buy it would you? That’s my feeling about the iPhone. 

Now as for the graph shown above. At WWDC yesterday good ole’ Steve Jobs threw out a bunch of stats about how the iPhone has a bigger market share than Android. Now all these stats are completely true… but you have to look at it in perspective. I decided to only show select Android phones that made major advancements for the OS, there are many many more android phones not mentioned in the timeline, that have great improvements but just didn’t make any waves in the media. Yes, I made light by gauging the scale on “awesomeness” you can replace that with several things, media buzz, popularity, specs, whatever you want… in the end i felt “awesomeness” summed it all up. With the release of the HTC EVO 4G and then soon after the iPhone 4 many are comparing them, and though we have fanboys on both sides, the general consensus is that they are both amazing phones… and are quite equal. i will FULLY agree with this despite the fact that i prefer android. the iPhone 4 has some very amazing features and i will not lie and say i do not look forward to handling one, but as you can see by the graph if android and the iphone keep up the pace they are going, android will surely surpass the iPhone in “awesomeness”. 

as for now, i am completely content with my Droid Incredible, and i look forward to what the future holds. Tons more awesomeness! 

Years ago, before i really got into photography. A friend of mine had a book with photography by Robert and Shana Parkharrison. I fell in love. I forgot about them until recently when another photographer, Rosie Hardy, sort of reminded me of them. I find it odd that how ever much i love this type of photography, i myself have never attempted to do something in a similar fashion. i think i might try. do check out those photographers though, both quite wonderful. 

I did a shoot this past thursday with a beautiful friend of mine, Madison. The shoot went very well despite it being sunrise instead of sunset. enjoy. 

Back in nov i found this photo, and fell in love. i decided to re post it cause i have an idea for it, in my head, i imagine a black and white shoot w/ that dress in color and a sweet cloak with a huge fur trimmed hood in the city at night maybe when its snowing… with the dress kinda spilling out onto the street 

so i need someone to make this dress. so i can shoot that
